Objective of the Game

In Trickerion: Anniversary Edition, you take on the role of a Magician. Your goal is to build a successful career by managing your troupe, performing incredible illusions, and gaining Fame. You must navigate various locations and master different types of tricks to become the most renowned magician in the land.

Setup

To get the game ready, follow these steps to organize the components:

1. The Trays

Organize the following trays and close them with their matching lids:

Player Trays: Each player receives a Player Tray containing:
- 1x Magician Character Disc and 1x Magician Meeple.
- Trick Markers and Symbol Markers.
- Character Discs (including Apprentice, Assistant, Engineer, and Manager).
- Wooden Banners.
- A Fame Tracker.
- Academy Markers.
- Protegé Character Discs.
- Permanent Assignment cards (including Downtown, Workshop, Market Row, Theater, Dark Alley, and Academy).
Base Tray: Contains Magician cards, Riverside Theater Performance cards, Grand Magorian Performance cards, Contraption Boards, Duel of Magicians Turn Setup cards, Duel of Magicians Performance cards, Magnus Pantheon Performance cards, Magician Power cards, Specialist Board Extensions, and the Arcanist Board.
Academy, Components, and Arcane Arts Tray: Contains Secrets, Classroom tiles, Practice Room tiles, Closed Room tiles, Prophecies, Arcane Workers, Enchantments, Arcane Arts Dice, Wagon marker, and various Components (Basic, Advanced, and Superior).
Main Tray: Contains Downtown Dice, Solo Dice, Special Assignment cards, Trickerion Stone turn marker, Solo Turn Setup Markers, Poster cards, Academy Poster cards, Heir’s Plan cards, Arcane Worker cards, Open Room tokens, Professor Bernard Teach Symbol Markers, Academy Markers, Prophecy Tokens, Solo blocking tiles, Magician cards marked with the Heir’s symbol, Solo Performance cards, and various Trick cards (Optical, Escape, Mechanical, and Spiritual).

2. The Boards

Place the Main Board and then the Academy Board into their slots in the Main Tray Lid.

3. Final Preparation

Sort out the remaining components such as Player Boards, Heir’s Board, Magician Workbooks, Academy Workbooks, and various Coins (Academy, Arcane Art, Golden, Silver, and Bronze), Arcane Shards, Trickerion Shards, and Contraptions.
