Get ready for a twist on classic UNO with UNO Flip! This version brings an innovative dynamic to your favorite card game, introducing a double-sided deck: a 'light side' and a 'dark side'. You start the game on the light side, with the rules and action cards you already know. But the magic happens when someone plays a Flip card! Instantly, everyone, including the draw and discard piles, flips their cards to the dark side, revealing a new set of colors, numbers, and, most importantly, action cards with much harsher penalties. Forget 'Draw One'; on the dark side, we have the dreaded 'Draw Five'! And 'Skip' becomes a 'Skip Everyone'. The game continues on the dark side until another Flip card is played, turning everything back to the light side. The objective remains the same: be the first to get rid of all your cards by matching color, number, or symbol with the top card of the discard pile. If you don't have a play, you draw a card. And, of course, don't forget to shout 'UNO!' when you have only one card left in your hand, or prepare to draw two more if someone catches you. The round ends when a player empties their hand, and they score points for the remaining cards in opponents' hands, aiming to reach 500 points for the final victory. UNO Flip! adds a strategic and unpredictable layer that will make your games even more exciting and full of surprises!

What's the main difference between UNO Flip! and traditional UNO?
The big twist in UNO Flip! is the double-sided deck (light and dark) and the Flip card. When it's played, everyone flips their cards, and the game switches to the dark side, which features action cards with heavier penalties, like 'Draw Five' and 'Skip Everyone'.
How many players can play UNO Flip!?
UNO Flip! is super versatile and can be played by 2 to 10 players, making it perfect for small gatherings or large parties.
What's the average game duration?
A game of UNO Flip! typically lasts between 30 to 30 minutes. It's a quick and dynamic game, ideal for filling a short break or playing multiple rounds back-to-back.
Is it a complex game to learn?
Not at all! The complexity of UNO Flip! is quite low (BGG weight of 1.24/5). If you already know how to play UNO, picking up the Flip! rules is a breeze, as the core gameplay is the same, with the added card-flipping mechanic.
Who is UNO Flip! recommended for?
It's highly recommended for UNO fans looking for something new and more exciting, for families and groups of friends who want a light, fun, and unpredictable card game. If you enjoy 'Take That' mechanics, you'll love it!
Are the dark side cards much harder?
Yes, the dark side is designed to be more challenging. Penalties are amplified (e.g., 'Draw Five' instead of 'Draw One'), which can drastically change the course of the game and require more strategy to get rid of your cards.
