Uruk: Wiege der Zivilisation

In Uruk: Cradle of Civilization, you travel back to 3000 B.C., when Uruk was the largest walled city in the world. Each player builds a civilization along the Euphrates River, starting with a simple mud hut and evolving to impressive inventions like aqueducts. The game has no military component, so you can’t directly attack other players. Instead, the focus is on managing your inventions, resources, and settlements. Inventions are represented by cards, and resources are wooden cubes. Each player starts with a basic invention, and as the game progresses, more advanced inventions become available, up to level 4. With three actions per turn, you need to manage your cards, resources, and decide when to participate in auctions to gain blessings from the gods or avoid disasters. At the end of the fourth era, the player with the most points wins. It’s a game of strategy and planning, where every decision can make a difference.
