About the game
War: Game of Thrones is the 2021 edition of the classic War game, now set in the epic world of Game of Thrones. The board features the 36 territories of Westeros, from the Wall to the Dragon’s Hand, and each player chooses one of the legendary houses: Lannister, Stark, Targaryen, or Baratheon. Victory can be achieved in two ways: in the traditional mode, identical to War, a player wins by conquering all territories; in the advanced mode, victory comes by placing flags of your house on conquered territories, requiring you to keep at least one troop in each territory where the flag is. The rules are simple, but the strategy is deep: dice rolls decide battles, area movement allows moving armies between adjacent regions, player elimination raises the stakes, and set collection of cards provides bonuses and additional objectives. The game is designed for 3 to 4 players, with a playtime of 90 to 120 minutes and moderate complexity. If you enjoy epic battles, showcasing your house, and a game that blends strategy, tactics, and a narrative touch, War: Game of Thrones will surprise you.
