About the game
What you do in a play session
Prepare for war in the Traxis sector! In Warhammer 40,000: Conquest, you take on the role of a ruthless Warlord, commanding iconic armies from the 40K universe in an epic battle for planets. The objective is straightforward: conquer the sector, either through sheer force or strategic dominance. Each game is a head-to-head clash between two players, where hand management and anticipating your opponent's moves are crucial. You'll need to plan your actions in advance, establishing your presence on key planets before the tide of war consumes everything in fire and blood. With seven unique factions at your disposal – like the hardy Space Marines, the vast Astra Militarum, the brutal Orks, the treacherous Chaos, the agile Eldar, the dark Dark Eldar, and the technologically advanced Tau – each with its distinct playstyle, replayability is guaranteed. Furthermore, the alignment mechanic even allows for unusual faction alliances! Victory can come in several ways: capturing three planets with a common symbol, defeating the enemy Warlord, or controlling the battlefield. The game uses simultaneous action selection and area influence to create an intense tactical duel. It's an LCG (Living Card Game), so expect a collectible component experience with customizable decks, focusing on two-player battles with a medium rules weight.
