About the game
What you do in a play session
Hey everyone! Ready for an epic showdown of Minotaur Lords? In Minotaur Lords, the fight is for control of the ancient isle of Cresos, divided into two main areas: upper and lower. Each area has three aspects: economic, religious, and military, totaling six columns of dispute. The goal is simple: dominate these columns to show who's boss!
On your turn, you'll play Minion, Building, and Leader cards, each with its own strength and potential to influence the columns. Whoever has the highest strength in a column gains control of it and unlocks its special abilities – check it out! Victory comes in two ways: if your opponent runs out of cards at the start of your turn (a knockout!) or if you dominate the majority of both the upper and lower areas. To gain majority in a column, simply have more influence than your opponent.
Minotaur Lords is a two-player card game that blends hand management with area control, all in a fantasy setting with unique player powers. It's a quick game, lasting about 30 minutes, with light complexity (BGG weight 2.08), perfect for those who want a tactical dispute without the hassle. Oh, and if you like Fantasy Flight's line, this game is part of the Silver Line. Fun fact: if you own Scarab Lords, you can even mix factions for an even crazier confrontation! Get your horns ready and join the fray!
