About the game
Wendake places you in the role of a Huron tribe chief, guiding the community through seven years of challenges and opportunities. Rather than epic battles, the focus is on everyday life: planting beans, corn, and pumpkins on fertile lands, hunting beavers in forests, and trading pelts with neighboring tribes. Each player controls a 3x3 action board, choosing the best tasks each round to improve production, military security, rituals, and mask trophies. The action‑selection mechanic lets you combine area movement, influence control, and set collection, while hidden victory points keep the tension high until the end. Each player’s unique powers add a layer of personalization, making every game feel distinct. Although accessible, the game demands attention to detail and long‑term planning, as each decision can shift the balance between economy, war, and culture. If you enjoy games that blend historical strategy with action mechanics and want to explore the rich culture of North‑Atlantic indigenous peoples, Wendake is a game that will surprise you.
