About the game
What you do in a play session
Würfel Bohnanza translates the classic Bohnanza madness into a dice‑driven experience. Each player starts with two order cards, each listing six harvest goals ranging from easy (two beans of one type or three of two types) to tough (four of a kind or seven beans without the blue one). The aim is to fulfill orders, earn Bohnentalers (the game’s money), and be the first to reach thirteen coins. On a turn, the active player rolls seven bean dice—three showing one icon set and four another—and must set aside at least one result after each roll, rerolling the rest up to seven times. The dice set aside can be used to complete the player’s own orders, and after each roll all other players may also use the newly rolled dice (those not yet locked) to advance their own cards. When a player completes three orders, they “harvest” the card, gain one coin and draw a new card, possibly recording new orders in the same turn. Each additional completed order adds another coin, up to a maximum of four per card. The game ends as soon as someone reaches thirteen Bohnentalers; the player with the most coins wins. The push‑your‑luck element forces quick decisions, as lingering too long benefits opponents. Würfel Bohnanza blends set collection, contract fulfillment, strategic rerolls, and the tension of locking results, all in about 45‑minute games for 2‑5 players with a light weight (1.3/5).
