About the game

What you do in a play session

Prepare for a journey to Ancient Egypt in "10 Pragas do Egito" (Ten Plagues of Egypt)! Here, you step into the shoes of a governor along the Nile River, facing divine wrath in the form of ten plagues. The Pharaoh is stubborn about not freeing the Hebrew people, and things are about to get rough. Your goal is to manage the losses and disasters each plague brings, all while trying to develop your province and gain power.

The core mechanic revolves around dice you use in three phases. In the first, the dice help you gather resources, move boats, earn money, gain the Pharaoh's favor, or even free the Hebrews. The second phase involves a dispute for new territories that expand your lands, granting immediate bonuses, special actions, or end-game points. And in the third phase, my friend, the plague of the round strikes! You'll need to pay tributes and, worse still, deal with the damage it causes.

With medium complexity, the game challenges you to plan every move. As the game progresses, it becomes harder to mitigate the plague effects, making each decision critical for victory. It's an immersive experience that requires a cool head to prevent Egypt from descending into total chaos under your watch. If you enjoy games with biblical themes and worker placement mechanics with a dice-rolling twist, this might become your new favorite.
