About the game

What you do in a play session

Get your heart racing and your reflexes ready, because in 5-Minute Dungeon, there's absolutely no time to think! You and your friends take on the roles of heroes attempting to escape a randomized dungeon, with one catch: you have exactly five minutes to defeat everything in your path. It's pure cooperative chaos. Forget about meticulous planning or long strategic discussions; communication here must be instant and visceral.

Each player chooses one of ten available heroes, each equipped with their own special abilities and unique cards. The gameplay is simple yet frantic: to defeat a monster, the group must play cards with symbols that match the symbols on the monster's card. If a monster requires three swords, someone needs to shout 'I have the sword!' and slam it down as fast as possible. The catch is that while you're fighting monsters, the timer never stops.

The journey is divided into stages. At the end of each dungeon, you'll face a powerful boss. Did you win? Great, but the campaign continues to the next level, and each subsequent dungeon and boss is harder than the last. The ultimate challenge is the fifth boss, the final test of the group's coordination.

For those looking for more, there are versions like the Dungeon Master Edition (a Kickstarter exclusive), which adds new bosses, challenge cards, and doors, along with a Baby Barbarian figurine for an extra touch of flair. It's the perfect game to break the ice at parties or for anyone who wants to feel the adrenaline of a race against time where the only solution is total cooperation (and a lot of shouting).
