About the game
What you do in a play session
In 'Africa', you step into the shoes of a fearless explorer, unraveling the mysteries of an unknown continent. The board is covered with face-down circular tokens, waiting to be revealed. Each turn, you have the option to move your explorer to an already discovered location or advance one or two adjacent spaces on revealed tiles. The key action is to either unveil a new hidden token or rearrange already exposed tiles. These tokens represent a variety of treasures: goods for collection, nomads, herds of animals, valuable gold and diamonds, and the coveted monuments. The game enters its final phase when the eleventh monument is revealed, triggering the scoring. And, as it's a Knizia game, expect various clever ways to score points, whether immediately upon discovery, a bit later, through emerging opportunities, or only at the very end of the game. Get ready for an adventure of discoveries and scoring strategies that will keep you engaged until the very last moment!
