About the game

What you do in a play session

Arkham Horror: Lovecraft Letter transports the dreaded atmosphere of Arkham into the sleek Love Letter format. Up to six players battle in 15‑20 minute turns, trying to uncover who is closest to solving the cosmic mystery without losing their sanity. Each game unfolds in short rounds: at the start, each player receives two cards representing the clue they are currently investigating. Every turn, you draw a new card and choose which of the two to keep, discarding the other. Certain cards push your character into an Insane state, unlocking powerful effects but forcing a sanity check each round; failing can lead to early elimination. The game blends hand management, deduction, and a dash of "take that" as some cards directly hinder opponents. The ultimate goal is to be the last player with sanity or, if no one is eliminated, to have the highest investigation points after the rounds. The artwork revisits classic Arkham Horror icons, and the card design has been tweaked to reinforce the Lovecraftian horror vibe without overcomplicating the mechanics. With a weight of 1.4/5, the title is easy to learn yet offers tense decisions that please both newcomers and fans of more strategic deduction games. If you enjoy a quick play but want that Cthulhu‑induced chill, Lovecraft Letter delivers exactly that while keeping Love Letter's fast pace and adding the threat of insanity as a fresh risk element.
