Remember that story from Plato about the sunken city everyone heard in school? Well, Atlantis brings this legend to the table in a super dynamic and visual way! The big challenge here is a race against time and the ocean itself. You and your friends take on the role of explorers trying to escape the city before it completely disappears beneath the waves. The goal is simple yet strategic: you need to move your pawns from the city to solid ground, collecting as many treasures (the land tiles themselves) along the way. But don't think it's just walking! As you advance, the terrain literally disappears. When you move a pawn from one tile to another using a card, that land tile turns into water, creating a gap that could leave you stranded. If you're not careful, you'll end up stuck in a sea of water tiles with no way out! To make things easier, you can use cards to build bridges or even 'pay' your victory points to cross these new obstacles. It's a game of hand management and spatial planning where every decision counts. You have to decide: do I use my card now to move forward, or do I save it to build a bridge later? In the end, once everyone has safely reached solid ground, the player with the most tiles in hand wins. It's a light game, perfect for family gatherings or a group of friends looking for something quick that still makes your brain work a little.
