About the game
Welcome to the island of Bali, a mystical place where the line between the divine and the demonic is very thin. Here, you take on the role of a community leader who must balance agricultural production with faith. The goal is simple on paper but tense in practice: harvest resources in the fields and sacrifice them at shrines to keep the gods and ancestral spirits appeased. But don't think it's just about planting and praying! You'll need priests to facilitate these sacrifices and, more importantly, to chase away the demons trying to sabotage your plans.

The heart of the game lies in a very clever and risky drafting system. You pick a card from the central display, but in doing so, you reveal the card hidden underneath. That's where the danger lies: the revealed card could be a benefit or a total disaster that affects everyone at the table. This dynamic creates a constant tension of 'I'm taking this, but will I screw everyone over (including myself)?'.

Bali is actually an evolution of the classic Rapa Nui, bringing more polish and deeper layers of strategy. For those looking to vary the experience, the game also includes two interesting variants: 'The Demon' and 'The Oracle', which add new layers of challenge and unpredictability. If you enjoy hand management games where every choice can change the course of the match and you like rich cultural themes, Bali is a great pick. It's the kind of game that flows quickly but leaves you thinking, 'if only I had taken that card first...'. Prepare your strategy, manage your resources, and try not to anger the gods, or the bill will come due!
