About the game
What you do in a play session
Get your evil plans ready, because Gotham City is about to descend into absolute chaos! In Batman: Gotham City Sem Lei, you aren't the hero of this story; you are the supervillain trying to climb the underworld hierarchy. The goal is simple, but the execution is pure adrenaline: you must dominate the city's districts by recruiting experienced villains to increase your influence. The first player to reach 10 influence points secures the title of Batman's greatest enemy and wins the game.
The gameplay is heavily inspired by the classic game Pit, meaning speed is your best friend (or your worst enemy). Forget about that boring wait for your neighbor's turn; here, everyone acts simultaneously! The core mechanic revolves around frantic negotiations and simultaneous card trading. You will desperately need to collect a set of five villains of the same type to control a district. If you manage to pull it off, in addition to gaining influence, you also unlock your villain's special power, which can completely flip the game on its head.
But watch out: the underworld is ruthless. If you fall behind and fail to complete your sets, Arkham Asylum will be waiting with open arms, and losing influence is the price of failure. It is a fast-paced, loud card game packed with social interaction, where knowing exactly when to negotiate (or when to bluff your friend next to you) makes all the difference. If you enjoy party games that involve quick thinking and a heavy-hitting pop culture theme, this is your next obsession for game nights with the crew.
