About the game
What you do in a play session
Get ready for a magical dose of Codenames with this special Disney twist! Instead of random words, you'll find iconic characters and settings from over 90 years of Disney and Pixar magic. The goal remains the same: two teams face off to identify their secret agents (characters and locations) scattered across a grid. Each team has a spymaster who gives one-word clues, trying to connect as many cards of their color as possible. But beware! A wrong clue can lead to the opposing team or, even worse, the dreaded assassin (in this case, a villain or moment that ends the game immediately!).
This "Family Edition" brings a cool new feature: in addition to the classic 5x5 board, it includes smaller cards for a 4x4 game, ideal for families with young children or for those who want a quicker, more accessible round. The cards are double-sided, with words on one side and images on the other, making the experience even more visual and fun. It's the perfect blend of deduction, memory, and a little bit of luck, all wrapped in the enchanting Disney universe. Ideal for gathering friends and testing who truly knows the magical world of Codenames: Disney!

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers before you buy
How many players can participate?
Codenames: Disney Family Edition is for 2 to 8 players, but it works best with 4 or more, divided into two teams.
What is the average playtime?
Games are quite fast, usually lasting between 15 and 20 minutes, depending on players' familiarity with the game and the Disney universe.
Do you need to be a Disney expert to play?
It helps! Knowing the characters and movies makes it easier to give and receive clues. However, the Family Edition with images makes it more accessible, even for those who aren't huge fans.
Do the cards have words and images? How does it work?
Yes! Each card features a Disney character or location. On one side, there's the name (word), and on the other, the image. This greatly helps when making connections.
What is the 'assassin' or 'villain' in the game?
It's a special card that, if guessed by your team, ends the game immediately and results in your team's defeat. It's the risk you take when trying to guess more cards with a single clue!
Are there any differences from the original Codenames?
The main differences are the Disney theme and the inclusion of images on the cards, plus a smaller board (4x4) for quicker, family-friendly games.
