About the game
Get ready for a fishing trip that goes far beyond ordinary fish in Deep Regrets! In this cooperative horror strategy game, you and your friends (or you alone, if you're brave) will dive into the ocean's depths to pull out increasingly bizarre and disturbing things. Each turn, you roll custom tackle dice to determine your strength and decide: stay at sea, risking more, or return to port to sell your catches, buy provisions, and recharge your energy?

You'll survey the shadows of nine different fish shoals at three depths, weighing what's worth catching and if the risk is worth the reward. Flip fish cards, spend your dice, and add them to your collection, but watch out for special abilities that can turn the game upside down! The more horrifying things you encounter, the more 'Regrets' cards you collect, which increases your madness but also gives you more dice and makes weirder fish more valuable. It's a constant dilemma: balance madness for advantages, but knowing that whoever has the most Regrets at the end will have to discard their most valuable mounted fish. Manage your resources, make strategic decisions, and try to get the most valuable haul possible in this strange week at sea.

In solo mode (which can also be played cooperatively), you take on the role of an ichthyologist on a mission to catalog every sea creature. Over a campaign of dozens of games, you'll try to reel in and document every last fish on a provided catalog sheet. At the end of each game, you'll need to discard fish of equivalent value to the Regrets you've collected, potentially having to let some go to try again another day. By the end of the campaign, you'll have a complete catalog of fish names, depths, values, and difficulties, which can be used by other players in multiplayer to help identify their future catches!
