In Dreamwell, you venture into an ethereal realm where children rest while they sleep. You are a 'dreamkin,' a being searching for your lost friends in this magical place. The board, a 4x4 grid of rearrangeable tiles, represents the Dreamwell itself. Each tile depicts a peculiar environment and fantastic creatures, along with pathways connecting them. Each player receives cards showing the image of friends they need to find, and to locate them, you must match the correct environments and creatures on the board tiles.
On your turn, you have 3 action points to spend as you wish: move your pawn across the board, rotate tiles to change paths and environments, draw more cards for more options, or replace the displayed tiles to try and find what you need. The final and most crucial action is to locate a friend by playing the corresponding card when the environment and creature requirements are met on adjacent tiles. Navigating this dreamlike maze, manipulating the board, and collecting the right elements are key to rescuing your friends and winning. With enchanting art and accessible mechanics, Dreamwell offers a light and charming strategic experience, ideal for those who enjoy games with a touch of fantasy and spatial reasoning.
