Every action you take brings the final confrontation closer. When the cards in the Ethereal row start to dwindle, the rival attacks, gaining power or inflicting damage. If you survive this initial strike, you can retaliate with your shards. The damage dealt persists, but chances are limited, as the rival has a finite number of actions. Defeat them before they exhaust their chances and secure victory!
