Imagine this: you and your crew have been banished, stripped of everything except a few shillings and some table scraps. Sounds like a disaster? Think again! It's the perfect chance to reinvent yourself in a strange land and reclaim your lost honor. In Feudum, you decide your path to power: will you work the land as a farmer, fight as a brave knight, or use your cunning to carve out your own fiefdoms?
Feudum is a medieval economic game where hand and resource management are key. The gameplay revolves around optimizing four actions per turn across five epochs. You control several characters roaming the countryside, tending to farms, taxing towns, and seizing outposts to climb the social ladder. But that's just the tip of the iceberg. The real competition lies in acquiring coveted feudums, which increase your standing within six different guilds.
However, power comes with a price: feudum owners must pay homage to the king through military service or face charges of disloyalty. The game features a brilliant progressive economic cycle where each role supports the other: the farmer ships goods to the merchant, who equips the alchemist, who invents gunpowder, which then arms the knight, and so on.
To emerge victorious, you'll need a sharp strategy to manage your guilds, maintain control of key locations, and adapt to changing events. Just be careful not to starve, get distracted by sea serpents, or develop an unhealthy obsession with fermented grapes. If you can balance the politics, the economy, and the risks, victory is yours. Long live the King!

Is the game hard to learn?
It has a higher complexity (expert level), so the first game might take longer to grasp all the gears, but the economic logic is very rewarding.
How many players can play?
From 2 to 5 players. It scales well, though with more players, the fight for territories becomes much more intense.
How long does a game last?
Depending on the group, expect something between 2 to 4 hours, as the game is divided into five epochs.
Is it a combat or an economic game?
It's a hybrid! While it has area control and military service elements, the heart of the game is economic management and action optimization.
Who would you recommend Feudum to?
To those who enjoy games like Terra Mystica or other 'euros' where every action must be calculated to avoid wasting turns.
