About the game

What you do in a play session

In Histrio, you step into the role of a theater troupe manager during the Renaissance, competing to impress the king at the grand Theatrical Festival. Your goal is to assemble the perfect cast of actors and talking animals to earn enough money to fund your shows for the entire year. Each round, eight cities receive cards that can be actors, money, or even animal characters with special abilities. The trick is careful planning: you and other players secretly choose a city to visit. If you're the only one to pick a city, you get all its cards. But if more than one player chooses the same city, the cards are discarded, and everyone receives a secret objective instead. The actors you recruit influence the king's mood, swaying him towards comedy or tragedy. At the end of the season, the player with the most money wins! It's a game that blends strategy, bluffing, and a touch of luck, featuring a charming theme of animal actors. Get ready to put on the best show and come out on top!
