About the game
FlipToons puts you in the shoes of a talent agent tasked with assembling the perfect cast for a new animated series. Each player starts with a deck of hopeful toon actors and, each round – representing an episode – flips six cards onto a 3 × 2 screen grid. Every toon carries a talent effect; some grant fame points instantly, while others only trigger when placed next to compatible neighbors, creating synergies (or disastrous lack of chemistry). After tallying the fame earned, you can spend that resource to buy fresh toons from the market or fire the underperformers, fine‑tuning your deck for upcoming episodes. The goal is to be the first to hit 30+ fame in a single episode, earning the "Critic's Choice" award and triggering the endgame. After the market phase of that turn, a final Flip occurs; the player with the most fame in the Final Flip wins. The game blends deck‑building, open drafting, a simple market, and a race for points, all in a quick 15‑30‑minute playtime. It’s light enough for newcomers, yet the decisions about which toons to keep and how to combo them provide depth for veterans. A solo mode is also included for solo strategy testing. With bright artwork of anthropomorphic animals and nods to the animation industry, FlipToons offers a themed, fast‑paced experience without mechanical overload.
