About the game
Furnace is a strategic game in which players take on the role of 19th-century capitalists building their industrial corporations and aspiring to make as much money as possible by purchasing companies, extracting resources, and processing them in the best combinations possible. The game is played over four rounds, with each round consisting of two phases: Auction and Production. During the auction, 6-8 company cards are laid out with their basic sides face up, and players place discs on cards to obtain companies. After that, players enter the production phase, where they use cards in order of choice to gain resources, process them into other resources or money, and upgrade cards. The game also includes capitalist cards with unique effects, which can be distributed to players at the start of the game. The game ends with the player who has the most money.
