Neolithic

In Neolithic, you and a friend take on the roles of village leaders at the dawn of the Stone Age, competing to see who builds the most prosperous civilization. This two-player card game cleverly blends hand management, worker placement, and versatile card usage to create a compact and engaging strategic experience.

Each turn, you face a crucial choice: either send your villagers to perform tasks, such as hunting or gathering, which allows you to acquire new cards; or you bring them back to your hand, at which point you can play the newly acquired cards into your village. These cards can be innovations that boost your culture, or resources that help you fulfill contracts and earn points. The trick is that your villager cards are also your 'actions,' and deciding when to use them for tasks and when to bring them back to build your village is key to success.

Gameplay progresses in alternating turns, with each decision directly impacting your community's development. The cards you collect and play into your village contribute to your final score, whether through bonuses for icon sets, innovations, or the development of specific cultures. The game ends when two of the five task decks run out, and the leader with the most advanced village and most culture points emerges victorious.
