About the game

What you do in a play session

Picture a post‑war world where the government decides to rebuild cities atop the ruins, and you’re one of the most ambitious reconstruction companies vying for the job. In *New Eden Project*, each player builds futuristic city projects, competing to win the State’s contest to construct the “New Eden.” The game blends three core mechanics: you buy city‑piece cards using inspiration points (Action Points), place them on your play area (Tile Placement), and aim to complete sets of pieces for bonus points (Set Collection). At the start, you choose one of three game modes—Populist, Military, or Elite—that dictate which contest requirements are active. These requirements act as scoring objectives: at the end, the player with the most set points and fulfilled requirements wins. Each turn has two phases: buying cards and placing them. The game ends when someone places the tenth city‑piece card, triggering the final score tally. The setting is sci‑fi with a rebuilding theme, but the pace is fast and strategic, perfect for those who enjoy planning, resource management, and card collection. The components are solid, featuring inspiration tokens, detailed city‑piece cards, and a clean layout. If you love city‑building games with a sci‑fi twist and want to test your planning and resource‑management skills, *New Eden Project* is a solid, fun pick.
