Hey gamers! Check out this extra tile for your Petrichor game: the Lake Promo Tile! This little gem was an unlocked Kickstarter stretch goal and brings some interesting twists for those who enjoy the game's atmosphere. Essentially, any water drop that lands on this lake tile immediately returns to its owner's personal supply. No losing precious water like that, right? But things get more interesting when you use a Wind card to move a cloud over the lake. The player who made the move then has to add three of their own drops to the cloud – think of it as the breeze evaporating water from the lake to boost the cloud! And if that same cloud moves off the lake via a Wind card action, it can fly wherever it wants, as many times as possible, even changing direction. However, if it merges with another cloud, it must stop there, and it cannot re-enter the lake during the same Wind card action it left. It's a small addition, but it changes the dynamics of how water moves and accumulates, adding an extra layer of strategy for those who already master the base rules. Perfect for adding that extra spice to your games and making everything more unpredictable and exciting!

Does this tile significantly change Petrichor's rules?
It adds specific rules for the lake, like water returning to the player and how clouds interact with it. It doesn't change the entire game but introduces new tactics.
Do I need to have played Petrichor before to understand this tile?
Yes, this is an expansion. You need the base game Petrichor to use the Lake tile.
How many players does this tile support?
It works with the same player count as the base game, which is for 1 to 4 players.
Does the game's complexity increase a lot with this tile?
The complexity increases slightly as it introduces new interactions, but it's quite contained and easy to learn for those already familiar with the game.
Is this tile hard to find?
As it was a Kickstarter stretch goal, it might be a bit harder to find in regular stores, but it sometimes appears in promotions or on the second-hand market.
Is it worth buying just for this tile?
If you're a big fan of Petrichor and enjoy exploring all possible variations, then yes! For casual players, it might not be essential, but it adds a nice touch.
