About the game
What you do in a play session
Get ready to become the global villain in Plague Inc: The Board Game! Inspired by the hit app, here you're not the hero saving the world, but the disease aiming to wipe it out. The goal is straightforward: spread your plague across the globe, evolve shocking symptoms, and be the last remnant of life (or unlife?) on the planet. Each player controls a unique disease, starting with 'Patient Zero' and trying to infect cities on the map. To do this, you'll need climate resistance and a connection to the country, plus spend DNA points to evolve your creation. Want to spread via air? Or perhaps develop diarrhea to dominate hot countries? The choice is yours! But beware, other players are also in the race for extinction, and they won't make it easy. Use event cards to sabotage rivals, like bombing infected cities or even hosting the Olympics to spread infection en masse. When countries succumb, the 'Death Dice' come into play to ensure eradication. The game blends area control strategy, resource management (DNA points and cards), and a touch of 'take that' to ensure the match is tense and unpredictable. With rules simulating disease evolution and spread, and the option for solo play, Plague Inc. offers a unique experience for those who like to think outside the box and embrace the dark side of force (or biology!).
