In Quacks, also known as The Quacks of Quedlinburg, you step into the shoes of a charlatan, one of those 'doctors' promising miracles, and your mission is to brew the most potent secret potion. But beware! Adding just one too many ingredients can spoil the whole concoction. Each player starts with a bag full of ingredient chips. In each round, everyone simultaneously draws chips from their bags and adds them to their cauldrons. The higher the value of the chip you draw, the further it's placed in your pot's swirling pattern, making your potion more valuable. The goal is to push your luck as far as you can, but if you overdo it with the 'cherry bombs,' your pot will explode! At the end of each round, depending on how well you've filled your pot, you earn victory points and some coins to buy new, even better ingredients. However, if your pot explodes, things change: you must choose between points or coins, you can't have both. The game unfolds over nine rounds, and whoever has the most victory points at the end is crowned the grand potion master. It's a push-your-luck game with a touch of strategy when building your ingredient 'deck,' ensuring that each draw is a mix of anticipation and adrenaline. Ready for some alchemy?
