About the game

What you do in a play session

In Quietville, the city needs a new mayor, and candidates must prove their worth by governing a small area of the metropolis. It turns out that Quietville is not a quiet place: erupting volcanoes, alien invasions, and mutant dinosaurs are just some of the dangers aspiring mayors must face. The goal is to build and protect the most prosperous area, minimizing damage from these disasters and proving to be the ideal leader for the city. This game is a new edition of 'Bull in a China Shop' (also known as 'Der Elefant im Porzellanladen'), and includes Michael Schacht's 'Divine Intervention' cards, which offer special actions to players. The premise is simple but full of twists: elephants and china don't mix well, and this card game reinforces that idea. Players collect china cards to accumulate points, but to buy more of these precious items, they must take elephant cards. The problem is that these elephants can wreak havoc on your collection, directly affecting your score. Each round, players can buy china with money, take an elephant (earning money but risking losing china), or pass once per game. The game has four scoring rounds, and in each one, you choose one of four available scoring options, being able to use each option only once. In the end, whoever has the most points wins!
