Get ready for an epic adventure in 'The Voyages of Marco Polo', a game that takes you back to 1271, when young Marco Polo embarked on his legendary journey to China. You and your friends will recreate this odyssey, each taking on the role of a historical character with unique abilities that will turn the game upside down. The game unfolds over five intense rounds, where each turn you roll your five personal dice and decide where to allocate them on the board to perform crucial actions. The options are many and strategic: collect valuable resources like camels, pepper, silk, and gold, acquire lucrative contracts, or even travel across the vast map. Your journey begins in Venice, and from there you choose among various routes eastward, with Beijing as your ultimate destination. Each time you stop in a city, you can establish a trading post, unlocking extra actions or resources that will be your allies for the rest of the game. The trick is that the value of the dice you use for an action directly influences your options: higher dice usually mean better results. But beware: if an opponent has already chosen the same action, you'll have to pay more money to use it. At the end of the five rounds, the final score reveals the true master of travel and trade. You earn extra points for having trading posts in Beijing, for fulfilling the most contracts, and for reaching the secret cities revealed on your initial objective cards. It's a race against time and your rivals to see who retells Marco Polo's story with the most glory!
