About the game
Pack your bags and put on your finest period attire, because in Tiletum, you are an ambitious merchant in Renaissance Europe! The goal is straightforward, but the execution is where the magic happens: you aim to become the most prestigious name of the era, traveling from Flanders to Venice to close deals, collect coats of arms, and build monumental cathedrals. It's not just about money; you'll need to win the favor of noble families and hire notable figures to boost your operation.

The heart of the game is a brilliant and ruthless dice management system. Each round, several dice are rolled, and you must choose one. Here is the twist: the die serves a dual purpose. The face value determines how many resources you gain (such as wool and iron), but the power of the action you perform is inversely proportional to that value. In other words: if you pick a high-value die, you get plenty of resources, but the action will be weak. If you pick a low-value die, you get few resources, but the action will be devastatingly powerful.

This constant tension between 'I need raw materials' and 'I need efficiency' creates a strategic puzzle every single turn. You'll have to plan your movements across the map, deciding when to participate in trade fairs or when to invest in the construction of magnificent works. It is a game of pure optimization, where every die choice can shift the course of your fortune. If you enjoy games with detailed maps, tight resource management, and that feeling of building an empire from scratch, Tiletum is right up your alley.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the game too complex?
Yes, it's considered an 'Expert' game. It has several layers of rules and the interaction between dice requires focus, so it's not for absolute beginners.
How long does a game last?
Expect to spend between 60 to 100 minutes. The time may vary depending on the number of players and the group's experience.
Does it work well in solo mode?
Yes, the game supports 1 to 4 players, allowing you to test your strategies on your own.
What makes Tiletum different from other dice games?
