Imagine the chaos of a zombie apocalypse, but compressed into a compact box that you can take anywhere. In Tiny Epic Zombies, the action unfolds at the Echo Ridge Mall, a shopping center turned nightmare. The game is incredibly versatile: you can play solo, cooperatively against the game system, in a team mode with one player controlling the horde, or even in a competitive free-for-all where betrayal is part of the fun.
As a survivor, your routine is simple but tense: move, fight creatures, and try to complete three objectives to win. But be careful! If you focus too much on the missions and ignore the hordes, the zombies will overrun the mall's courtyard, and it's game over for everyone. Combat involves dice rolling and resource management: spending ammo to shoot from a distance or risking your life by entering the zombie's room. The crucial detail is your health and ammo track: if your wound and ammo tokens meet, you're dead meat. And dying doesn't take you out of the game entirely—you simply return as a zombie, though if this happens too often, total defeat is inevitable.
For those who prefer the undead side, the experience is different. As the Zombie player, you control the entire horde and use special abilities to corner the survivors, blocking paths and preventing them from completing their objectives. Your goal is to annihilate the humans or take control of the central courtyard. With the fun 'ITEMeeples' (items you physically equip on your meeple), the game adds a nice tactile layer to inventory management. It's a fast-paced game, with matches lasting 30 to 45 minutes, perfect for those who want the depth of a survival game without needing a giant table and five hours of setup.

Is the game hard to learn?
Not really! Basic actions are simple (move and search), but the strategy of managing ammo and wounds requires focus.
Can I play it solo?
Yes, it has a dedicated solo mode for those who want to face the horde alone.
What are ITEMeeples?
They are small components that you 'snap' onto your meeple to represent the items your character has equipped.
How long does a game last?
Usually between 30 to 45 minutes, making it much faster than most zombie-themed games.
Is there a lot of text on the cards?
There is a moderate language dependence due to the search and objective cards.
