About the game
What you do in a play session
Top Trumps is a collectible card game that has been a staple in the UK since the 1970s. Each deck features a different theme—cars, planes, movies, TV shows, and more—and typically contains 30 or 32 cards. Every card displays an image, a set of numerical stats, and sometimes extra text. The goal is straightforward: pick the highest statistic on your top card and challenge your opponents. The player with the highest value takes all the top cards and places them at the bottom of their pile. In case of a tie or missing data, the cards are set aside, and the same player continues with the next card. The first player to collect all the cards wins. The fun comes from memory and strategy, especially knowing when to play the “Super Trunfo” card that can swing the game. It’s a quick, 2‑to‑6 player game that blends competition, collection, and a touch of educational value through data comparison.
