About the game
What you do in a play session
Get ready to dive into the volatile world of cryptocurrencies with Trick and Trade! This card game blends the tension of a trick-taking game with the thrill of financial speculation. Here, you not only play cards to win rounds (tricks), but also try to predict and profit from the value fluctuations of four fictional digital currencies. Each trick won with a card of a certain suit sends that card to a market, where its value can plummet or skyrocket. At the end of each trick, players choose new 'coins' for their portfolios, based on the strength of the cards played. The catch is that the value of each coin is determined at the end of the round, based on the cards that won tricks. The most valued coin is worth a good amount, the second less so, and so on, potentially even resulting in a loss! It's a fast-paced game, with sessions lasting 20 to 40 minutes, ideal for 3 to 5 players who enjoy thinking one step ahead and aren't afraid to take risks. The complexity is moderate, perfect for those who want something more than a casual game but without getting lost in complex rules. Trick and Trade is a great choice for anyone who enjoys card games with a touch of economics and strategy.
