About the game

What you do in a play session

In a bustling forest, clumsy hunters and clever animals clash in a light‑hearted battle of wits. Each player holds a hand of double‑sided cards: one side shows a hunter equipped with lassos, nets, slingshots or even a timid hunting dog; the other side features the animal – sleepy deer, cautious fox or feisty bear. The goal is to score the most points by either capturing prey or evading hunters. The game works like a classic trick‑taking: the lead player sets the suit (hunter or animal) and everyone must follow if they can. The highest card of the led suit wins the trick, but points differ based on the combination: a hunter that captures an animal yields points, while an animal that slips away also scores. Rounds are short, 15‑30 minutes, and the flow swings between offensive (hunting) and defensive (escaping) strategies. Designed for 3‑5 players, it’s easy to learn yet demands attention to what’s in your hand and what opponents might hold. Bright illustrations give the chase a humorous vibe, making the game enjoyable for fans of quick play as well as those who appreciate a thematic hunt‑and‑flee feel. At the end, the player with the highest point total from well‑played tricks claims the title of forest master.
