Wispwood invites you into an enchanted forest where tiny light spirits, called wisps, flit among the trees. Each game starts with a curious cat venturing between trunks, drawn by the multicolored glimmers. On your turn you pick a wisp tile and a shape (triangle, square, L‑shape, etc.) and place it on your personal grid, which represents your growing forest. Every wisp has preferences about where it wants to shine – some like to sit next to magical trees, others prefer empty corners – and the trees have their own demands as well. You must satisfy these wishes to score points at the end of three scoring rounds.

Between rounds the forest “fades” and expands: some rows disappear, new ones appear, but the tiles already placed stay, reshaping the options for the next phase. Goal cards change each play, redefining the wisps' whims and ensuring every game feels fresh. Open drafting lets everyone see the available tiles and choose freely, while grid‑coverage pushes you to optimise square usage. With a light weight (2.0/5) and a 30‑45 minute playtime, it’s perfect for quick family sessions, friends, or solo enthusiasts. Some editions feature ultraviolet‑reactive ink that reveals hidden details under blacklight.
