Ever thought about assembling the trendiest wardrobe in New York while trying not to crash and burn in the stock market? In Wool Street, you dive into the world of wool fashion, where the goal is simple: end the game with the most stylish items of the moment. But be careful, because the market is volatile and what's trendy today could be a fashion disaster tomorrow!
At the start, everyone receives 10 wool cards (two of each color), which form your initial wardrobe. The dynamics revolve around analyzing the New York cards, which act as a real-time sales graph. On each turn, you must perform two mandatory actions: first, draw a New York card and place it on the table, helping to determine which color is rising in value. Then, you decide whether to buy a wool card from the table for your wardrobe or sell something you already own to try and profit.
The real trick lies in observation. Once the seventh New York card of the same color appears, that color is assigned a final value (which could be a great +2 or a terrible -2). This is where speculation kicks in: you want to hold the colors that score positively and get rid of those that will tank your score. Tension rises as the drawing deck shrinks, as you must quickly decide whether to stick with your bets or pivot your strategy before the game ends.
When the New York cards run out, it's time to see who the true fashion icon is. Each wool card in your wardrobe adds (or subtracts) points based on the assigned values. The player with the highest final score wins the dispute and proves they know how to navigate the trends of Wool Street. It's a fast-paced, strategic game with that pinch of risk that keeps everyone engaged until the very last second!
