About the game
What you do in a play session
AEGIS: Combining Robot Strategy Game brings the thrill of giant mechs to the tabletop without the heavy learning curve of a traditional wargame. Each match starts with players drafting a squad of five robots from five distinct classes – Assault, Evasive, Guard, Intel and Support – each with its own playstyle and interactions. The core strategic challenge is managing Action Points: every move or attack drains energy that also limits what your teammates can do, forcing careful sequencing of actions. A modular grid board creates a fresh layout every time, and Area Majority rewards players who control key zones. Dice rolling resolves combat and special abilities, adding a dash of randomness familiar to dice‑based games. When you build the right synergy, you can even combine all five robots into a single towering unit, straight out of your favorite giant‑robot cartoons. Designed to be quick (20‑120 minutes depending on player count) and affordable, the rules are easy to teach yet deep enough to keep seasoned tacticians engaged. While player elimination is a mechanic, games usually finish before anyone is fully knocked out, preserving tension to the final turn. Perfect for 2‑6 players who love sci‑fi themes, tactical combat, and the fun of customizing their own robot team.
