Get ready for some bone-breaking, cheating action in Blood Bowl: Team Manager – The Card Game, a standalone card game where violence is the sport of choice! Two to four players take on the role of managers for iconic Blood Bowl teams, such as Chaos, Dwarf, Wood Elf, Human, Orc, and Skaven. The goal is simple: lead your band of misfits to glory, accumulating more fans than your rivals, and be crowned Spike! Magazine's Manager of the Year!
The season spans five intense weeks, culminating in the grand Blood Bowl tournament. Initially, your team consists of rookie players with limited talents, but with clever management, you can turn them into stars. Each week, managers compete in 'highlights' – head-to-head matchups against other teams. Winning these highlights not only improves your team but also attracts more fans, which are the currency of victory.
Throughout the game, you'll have the chance to customize your team in various ways. Recruit Star Players for special abilities, hire staff members for strategic bonuses, upgrade your facilities for permanent advantages, and, of course, liberally use cheating to turn the tide in your favor. Hand management is crucial here, as deciding which cards to play and when is key to success. With deck-building mechanics and dice rolling to add that spice of unpredictability, each match is a new chance to prove who's the best (and most cunning!) manager in Blood Bowl.
