Get ready to travel two thousand years back in time and dive into the golden age of the Roman Empire with Concordia! In this peaceful strategy game, you take on the role of a powerful Roman dynasty, expanding your influence and building a robust trade empire across the Mediterranean. Forget the luck of the dice; here, what matters is your strategic acumen and the ability to anticipate your rivals' moves. The goal is simple, but the journey is rich in decisions: send colonists from Rome to found cities that produce bricks, food, tools, wine, and cloth. Each player starts with an identical set of action cards, but the magic happens as you expand and utilize them. These cards are the heart of your empire, allowing you to perform crucial actions during the game and, at the end, transform into valuable victory points, influenced by the ancient gods. Keep a close eye on your opponents to understand their strategies and find the best opportunities to outpace them. Concordia shines with its replayability, not only due to the variety of cards that appear on the market but also because of the modular game boards that offer different configurations – one side for the vast Roman Empire with 30 cities (for 3-5 players) and another for Roman Italy with 25 cities (for 2-4 players). The game ends when all action cards are purchased or when a player builds their 15th house. The player with the most victory points, earned through the worship of the gods, will be the grand winner and have their name etched into Roman history!
