Feed the Kraken seats up to 11 players on the same ship, but each secretly steers toward a different goal. Loyal sailors aim for the mainland, pirates plot to drift into the Bermuda Triangle, and a mad cultist wants to summon the Kraken to rescue everyone. Each round the captain and his chosen lieutenant study an ancient sea map and issue often conflicting orders to the navigator, who finally decides whether the vessel sails left, straight or right. Meanwhile the crew drinks rum, gambles, and spins sea‑monster tales. After the navigation, captain, lieutenant and navigator go off‑duty; the captain must appoint new occupants, and a vote decides who fills the roles. The game blends acting, bluffing, betting, grid movement and voting, all wrapped in hidden‑role intrigue that creates unexpected alliances and sudden betrayals. Each faction pursues a distinct board area, turning the match into a massive persuasion contest: convince others to make you the next lieutenant or navigator, or stage an open mutiny and seize command. With miniature figures, a vintage‑style board and rules that revolve around discussion and collective decisions, Feed the Kraken offers 45‑90 minutes of nautical chaos, ideal for large groups who love drama, intrigue, and plenty of laughs. Its light weight (2.2/5) ensures a quick learning curve, while strategic depth emerges as you read opponents and manipulate the ship’s course.
