About the game
What you do in a play session
At the height of King Solomon's reign, you're a governor tasked with expanding the kingdom of Israel. Kingdom of Solomon blends worker placement with economic strategy on a board depicting biblical lands. Each round has four dynamic phases: first, you place your pawns to gather resources (wood, stone, gold) or take special actions – including the option to go all-in on powerful bonus spaces. Then, the market comes into play, with prices fluctuating based on supply and demand. Finally, you spend resources to construct buildings (for victory points), roads that connect regions (multiplying your gains), or contribute to Solomon's majestic Temple. Interaction is high: you can steal resources from opponents, compete for the High Priest title (granting rights over others' regions), and use Fortune cards for surprise comebacks. The game ends when constructions are exhausted or the Temple is complete – whoever scores the most points wins. Pro tip: balancing Temple investments (safe points) with market speculation (high risk, high reward) is key!

Best player count?
3 or 4 players ideal – competition for spaces/resources gets spicy. With 2, use the optional 'Ghost Governor' rule.
Is it luck-heavy with cards?
Fortune cards add unpredictability, but it's mostly resource management. You can win without relying on them.
Beginner-friendly?
Medium weight (BGG 2.7/5). Those familiar with worker placement will grasp it fast. Newbies may need 1-2 games to see all strategies.
Pre-assemble the board?
No – the map is fixed, but buildings/roads are placed during play. Quick setup (5 mins).
Any expansions?
None official, though the KS included promo cards/tiles. Not essential for the core experience.
Realistic playtime?
Rounds are snappy. With 4 experienced players, it's 60-75 mins. New groups may take 90 mins.
