Get ready for a royal ball like no other in Rebel Princess: Deluxe Edition! Cinderella, Snow White, The Little Mermaid, and many other legendary princesses are enjoying a five-day party. The problem? The charming princes, who weren't invited, have infiltrated with a single goal: to propose marriage! But you, as an independent and modern princess, want nothing to do with commitment. Your objective is simple: avoid marriage proposals as much as possible and end the party single, crowned as the ultimate Rebel Princess. The game unfolds over five rounds, each representing a day of the party, and the cool thing is that each round brings a special rule that turns the game upside down, ensuring no two games are ever the same. The main mechanic is trick-taking, where players play numbered cards, following one of the four available suits. Whoever has the highest value card of the leading suit takes the trick. But here's the twist: taking the trick isn't always good! You want to avoid the charming princes, who are each worth one marriage proposal. And watch out for the enchanted frog, who alone is worth five proposals! The princess with the fewest marriage proposals at the end of five rounds wins. Additionally, each princess has a unique special ability that can be used once per round, adding an extra strategic layer. This Deluxe Edition also brings two new princesses and six new round cards, upgraded components (princess cards as thick punchboard tiles and round cards in Tarot size with rules text), balance tweaks, and a new 'Rebel of the Ball' mechanism to help players catch up if they're falling too far behind. It's your chance to show that being a princess is much more than waiting for a prince!

What is the ideal player count for Rebel Princess: Deluxe Edition?
The game accommodates 3 to 6 players, but the experience shines brightest with 4 or 5, where the competition for tricks and the interaction between princess powers become more dynamic.
How long does a game of Rebel Princess last?
A game is quite quick, usually between 30 to 45 minutes. It's perfect for filling that gap between longer games or for several consecutive plays.
Is the game highly complex? Is it easy to learn?
No, the complexity is low (BGG weight of 1.82/5). The basic trick-taking rules are very easy to grasp, and the special rules for each round are explained on the cards, making learning quick and fun.
What are the main differences between this Deluxe Edition and the original?
The Deluxe Edition features two new princesses, six new round cards, upgraded components (thicker princess tiles, larger round cards with text), balance tweaks, and a new 'Rebel of the Ball' mechanism to help players who are falling behind.
Who is Rebel Princess: Deluxe Edition recommended for?
It's highly recommended for those who enjoy card games with trick-taking mechanics, a fun and light theme, and high replayability. If you like games like Hearts, but with a modern twist and special powers, you'll love it!
Does the game rely heavily on luck or does it require strategy?
It has a good balance! Card distribution luck is a factor, as in any trick-taking game, but the strategy of when to use your princess's ability and how to avoid the princes is crucial for victory.
