About the game

What you do in a play session

Prepare for a journey back in time to Teotihuacan, the metropolis that dominated Mesoamerica! In this Deluxe Master Set, you'll not only build the magnificent Pyramid of the Sun but also relive the rise and fall of a powerful civilization. With all the extras, expansions, and deluxe components packed into one box, the experience is even more immersive.

In Teotihuacan: City of Gods, you command a force of worker dice, which grow stronger with every move. On each turn, move one of these workers around a modular board. You must choose between two options at the location you land on: one offering an action and a worker upgrade, and the other providing a powerful bonus without the upgrade. It's a game of deep strategy where you manage your workers and resources to develop technologies, climb the temple steps, build houses, and, of course, erect the iconic pyramid.

The game unfolds over three eras, and at the end of each, your achievements and your ability to feed your workers are evaluated. The player who accumulates the most fame by the end is declared the winner. It's a complex game with a lot going on, but the reward is an epic and challenging experience. Perfect for those who enjoy medium-heavy games with plenty of strategic interaction and planning.
