Get ready to build one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world in 7 Wonders (Second Edition), a revamped classic that has already won over 30 international awards and millions of fans! In this updated version, you'll dive into Antiquity with all-new artwork, enhanced symbols, and a super friendly rulebook, perfect for newcomers. The box is now larger, the Wonder cards are more imposing, and the Wonder boards feature day and night sides, further increasing immersion.
The game unfolds over three Ages, where each player commands a civilization and a unique Wonder with special powers. Each round, you receive a hand of cards, choose one to play, and pass the rest to your neighbor – it's the famous 'draft' that makes the game dynamic and eliminates downtime. Actions are simultaneous: you can construct a building, use the card to advance your Wonder, or discard it for coins. Cards represent a bit of everything: resources, civilian, commercial, military, scientific structures, and even guilds. Interaction primarily occurs with your neighbors, whether to purchase resources or for the military conflicts that happen at the end of each Age.
At the end of the three Ages, it's time to tally up victory points from your city, your Wonder, your military strength, and your treasury. The player with the highest score claims victory! This edition also brings accessibility improvements, including colorblind-friendly symbols and a more intuitive card chaining system, inspired by 7 Wonders Duel. Note: expansions from the first edition are not compatible with this new version due to visual changes.
