Prepare for a future that never happened! In Ginormopod 2050 A.D., it's 2050 and global warming has transformed the world. Coastal cities have been swallowed by the waters, and what remains of America defends itself against a colossal threat: giant mutant insects, the Ginormopods. A fusion wall along the Mississippi is the last line of defense against the swarm that devastated the West. Meanwhile, scientists race against time to create an antidote, humanity's last hope.
In this two-player game, one player takes control of American forces, managing limited resources and carefully planning every defense and counterattack. The other player commands the swarm, unleashing endless waves of mutant ants, spiders, and worms that respawn relentlessly. The Ginormopods' objective is to destroy vital cities like New York or Washington before the antidote is ready. For the Americans, victory means holding the line until the cure is developed.
With a retro-futuristic feel, the game blends dice rolling, movement point management, and a touch of 'push your luck' to simulate this desperate fight for survival. It's a race against time where every decision counts, in a post-apocalyptic setting reminiscent of mid-20th-century sci-fi movies. Can humanity turn the tables on their giant nightmares?
