About the game
What you do in a play session
Imagine total chaos: the zombie plague has hit, and not even Earth's mightiest heroes are safe. In Marvel Zombies: X-Men Resistance, you and your friends take on the role of the last survivors in a desperate fight. Here, rivalries are set aside as X-Men and their mutant nemeses unite to avoid becoming zombie food. The game utilizes the acclaimed Zombicide series mechanics, so if you've played before, you'll feel right at home, but with the epic Marvel twist.
Each hero possesses unique skills that evolve as you eliminate hordes of undead. You can spend actions to acquire 'Traits' (single-use cards that provide a necessary boost) or rescue bystanders hiding in buildings, which grants valuable permanent abilities. The Heroic Power system allows you to spend points for extra dice or to trigger special effects, but be warned: the more powerful you become, the more zombies spawn to hunt you down. And when a Zombie Hero rises, things get serious, as they retain their original powers, now driven by a hunger for human flesh.
The game recreates the iconic X-Mansion with modular tiles, leading you through 10 intense missions ranging from the ground floor to the secret underground facilities. Besides Hero Mode, the box includes content for Zombie Mode, allowing you to play from the other side (though the Marvel Zombies core box is required for this). Featuring the visceral art of Marco Checchetto, the game delivers detailed and gory miniatures that bring the comic book vibe to your table. It's pure action, cooperative strategy, and mutant desperation!
